Scott D. Stamatakis
Scott Stamatakis was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. He received his bachelor of science degree, graduating magna cum laude, from Florida State University, and his juris doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law in 1995. Scott has extensive experience in consumer mortgages and debtors' rights. Scott has acted as lead counsel in more than 5,000 mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcies throughout the state of Florida in all three federal court districts.
Sami Thalji
Sami Thalji was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sami received his bachelor of science degree in marketing, graduating with high honors from the University of Florida in 1995. Sami received his juris doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law and came back to the Bay Area to work as an Assistant State Attorney in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit. Sami has tried over 100 jury trials and was the lead trial attorney for the Felony Bureau where his duties included overseeing the enforcement of state restitution orders and fines ordered to be paid by the Court. Since entering private practice, Sami has focused his efforts on consumer claims, including actions against lenders for predatory lending and various state and federal law violations, bankruptcy, personal injury and auto accident claims, as well as criminal defense work.
Melissa Miller Thalji
Melissa Thalji graduated magna cum laude from Stetson University in 1996 and received her juris doctorate from the University of Florida law school in 1999 with high honors. She has been certified as a mediator by the Florida Supreme Court. She worked at Fowler White Boggs, P.A., for 10 years in the areas of commercial and business litigation, including insurance litigation, corporate and partnership disputes, dissolution actions and contract disputes. She also specialized in trusts and estates litigation and real estate matters. Melissa is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts as well as the Middle, Northern and Southern districts of U.S. District Court. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. She was on the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Litigation section of the Florida Bar and was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in the State of Florida. She has also taught business law at Hillsborough Community College for several semesters. Melissa is also involved in the community as part of the Tampa Gator Club and Avila Women's Club. She also volunteers at a local school and has three children.
Rob Bonanno
Rob Bonanno is a native of Tampa and graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 and received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2001. Before attending law school, Rob played baseball for the University of Florida and the Anaheim Angels. He was drafted in the 10th round by the Angels and played in their minor league system for nearly five years before retiring due to an injury. Rob left the University of Florida as their all-time career and single-season strikeout leader, and was listed among the century's top 100 athletes to ever compete at the University of Florida (#100).
Rob joined the firm after taking the Bar Exam in September of 2001. Prior to graduating from law school, Rob clerked at Bush & Ross, P.A. in the civil litigation department. He also clerked at Bavol, Bush & Sisco, P.A., where his primary responsibility was handling insurance defense issues.
Nick Fowler
Nick Fowler was born and raised in McGehee, Arkansas. He received his bachelor of science degree in business management in 2006 from the University of Arkansas. Nick received his juris doctorate from Marquette University Law School. Nick is licensed to practice law in both Wisconsin and Florida, and he has experience in sports law, mortgage foreclosures and bankruptcies.
